Our Volunteers

The people who make the Eagles happen.

Behind every game, training session, tournament and club event is a team of people giving their time to make it all happen.

Our volunteers are the heart of Morley Eagles. They coach, manage teams, score games, umpire, organise events, look after our grounds, help in the canteen, serve on committees and lend a hand wherever they’re needed.

Some give their time every week, others help when they can. Some have been part of the Eagles for decades, while others are just getting started. Whatever their role, every contribution makes a difference.

It’s the people behind the scenes who create the opportunities for our players, support our families and help make Morley Eagles the club it is today.

A club is more than the people who play on the field. It’s everyone who shows up, lends a hand and helps make it happen.

This is for any person helping in any capacity at the club: Scorer, Umpire, Canteen, Committee, Coaching, etc. NO Fees charged.

    CANTEEN VOLUNTEERS

    Grab a shift. Lend a hand. Be part of the Eagles team.

    Our canteen is an important part of game day at Morley Eagles, keeping players, families and supporters fuelled throughout the season.

    We’re looking for volunteers to lend a hand in the canteen on Saturdays for our Juniors and Sundays for our Seniors.

    You don’t need any special experience — just a willingness to help out and have a bit of fun along the way. Whether you can spare a couple of hours once a season or help out regularly, every shift makes a difference.

    It’s a great way to meet other Eagles families, get involved in game day and help support the club we all enjoy being part of.

    LEARN TO SCORE

    Keep the game moving. Be part of the action.

    Every game needs someone keeping track of what happens on the diamond — and that’s where our scorers come in.

    Scoring is a great way to get involved with Morley Eagles, even if you’re not a baseball expert. You’ll learn more about the game, follow the action from a great position and play an important role in keeping an accurate record of each game.

    Whether you’re a parent wanting to help your child’s team, a player’s family member or simply someone who enjoys baseball, we’d love to have you involved.

    No experience? No problem. We can help you learn the basics and get you comfortable with scoring.

    Become an Umpire

    Get closer to the game. Build your skills. Make a difference.

    Umpires play an important role in making sure our games are fair, safe and enjoyable for everyone.

    You don’t need to be an expert to get started. Umpiring is a great opportunity to learn more about baseball, develop confidence and decision-making skills, and become an important part of the game.

    Whether you’re a player looking for a different perspective, a parent wanting to get involved, or simply someone who enjoys baseball, there’s an opportunity for you to learn and develop as an umpire.

    Training and support are available, and you’ll build your experience as you go.

    GAME DAY HELPERS

    A little help goes a long way.

    There’s plenty that happens before the first pitch and after the final out. Our Game Day Helpers are the people who pitch in to make sure everything is ready to go.

    You might help set up the grounds and equipment, get the diamond ready, welcome teams, support the Team Manager, organise game day jobs or pack everything away at the end of the day.

    You don’t need to take on a big role or commit every week. Sometimes, having a few extra hands for an hour or two makes all the difference.

    It’s a great way to get involved, meet other Eagles families and be part of the action — without needing to know everything about baseball.
