Back-to-back champions!
We did it again, claiming the 2025/26 Harcher State League Championship and becoming back-to-back champions after a thrilling Grand Final series against the Braves.
The best-of-three series was decided over two unforgettable nights at NSR Hire Ballpark, with the Eagles showing determination, composure and plenty of fight to secure the championship.
Game 1 — A walk-off thriller
Morley Eagles 9 def. Braves 8
The series got off to a dramatic start with a nine-inning thriller.
Locked at 8–8 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Morley needed one more run to take the opening game. Jess Williams delivered, driving in the winning run with a single to secure a dramatic 9–8 walk-off victory.
The Eagles finished with 11 hits, with Bodee Wright leading the way with three RBIs, while Matt Dixon, Mitch Graham, Jess Williams and Wright each collected two hits.
With the first game in the books, Morley headed into Game 2 just one win away from another State League championship.
Game 2 — Champions again
Morley Eagles 8 def. Braves 4
The Eagles came out firing in Game 2, jumping to an early lead in the first inning.
Bodee Wright opened the scoring with an RBI single before Mitch Graham followed with a three-run home run to put Morley firmly in control.
The Eagles' pitching staff then kept the Braves at bay, with Warwick Saupold producing an outstanding relief performance, throwing five scoreless innings and striking out eight.
Morley finished the game with 11 hits, with Wright leading the Eagles' offence with three hits, while Aaron Bonomi, Jess Williams and Cameron Bahr also contributed multiple hits.
A strong defensive performance — including a game without an error — helped Morley close out an 8–4 victory and seal the series.
Back-to-back. One proud club.

The 2025/26 Harcher State League title adds another chapter to the proud history of Morley Eagles Baseball Club and celebrates the players, coaches, team officials, volunteers and supporters who contribute to our State League program.
