JUNIOR INFORMATION

New to Morley?

We’ve answered some of the questions we hear most often from new players and families

  • Morley Eagles welcomes boys and girls of junior age who are interested in playing baseball. Players are placed into age-appropriate competitions based on their Baseball WA League Age.

  • Not at all! Beginners are very welcome at Morley Eagles. Our coaches help new players learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting and playing as part of a team.

  • Junior baseball is available across a range of age groups. The appropriate age division is determined using the Baseball WA League Age guidelines at the time of registration.

    Most players move into Baseball from Teeball, generally around 10 years old. Entering Little League.

  • The junior summer season generally runs from around October through to March, with training taking place beforehand. Exact dates vary from season to season.

  • Registrations are completed online through GameDay. Registration information, including opening dates, fees and the relevant registration link, is published on our website before each season and on our Socials.

    Registrations are open to new players in August each year.

  • The full registration fee inlcudes Baseball Australia (BA) fee, Baseball WA (BWA) fee, Morley Eagles Baseball Club (MEBC) fees and processing fees.

  • Players generally need their own baseball glove, along with suitable footwear, baseball pants and club hat. The club provides team equipment such as bats, balls and other shared playing equipment. Click here for more information.

    The club will provide a game shirt, all other items are the responsibility of the player.

  • Training is held at Morley Eagles Baseball Club at Crimea Park in Morley. Games are held on Saturdays around the metro-area. Game schedules vary between age groups and teams.

  • No! You don't need to be a baseball expert to join Morley Eagles. Our coaches and volunteers are happy to help families learn about the game along the way.

    You can also get involved! We encourage parents to learn about Umpiring, Scoring and/or Coaching.

  • Absolutely. Like most community sporting clubs, Morley Eagles relies on volunteers to help keep the club running. There are opportunities to assist with coaching, scoring, team support, events and other club activities.

Please take care when parking around the diamonds, as foul balls can leave the playing area. Park at your own risk and keep an eye out for balls while moving around the car park and general areas.
